The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with current approaches to free time in relation to professional care and babysitting. The practical part brings the results and evaluation of qualitive research focused on ideas on desirable spending of (free) time in professional care/babysitting from the viewpoint of children's parents.

This thesis deals with the problems of babysitting children with special needs. The theoretical part is primarily devoted to the characteristics of healthy child development. Consequently, it provides a comparison of optimal child development with the development of handicapped children. It highlights the difficulty of care for disadvantaged children, the importance of preventing parents becoming overloaded and the various possibilities for support of the families. The next chapter focuses on the educational assessment of healthy children and children with special needs. It describes the availability of babysitting services for those children, the offers of current agencies and the profile of good quality carers. The last chapter presents the empirical part of this thesis. The quantitative research was, with the use of questionnaires, addressed to the parents of children with special needs. This section presents the course of the research and the method by which the goals were attained. It presents the views of parents of children with special needs with regards to: their level of interest in, and the problems with, babysitting services. Analysis of the competitive environment on the babysitting market

The foundation of this thesis is a personal business plan for a babysitting agency. This agency will enter the market as a new entity. In order to do so, it is necessary to explore this business market in a great detail. The analysis of such market should provide information which will then create the foundation for both strategic and operational marketing decisions. The goal of this thesis is to analyze the current state of the babysitting market and its main competitors in Prague in order to create a competitive strategy and marketing program for a new business. This analysis was done through the methodology of competition analysis using the process of competitive intelligence. Data have been collected in many different forms, one of them being semi-structured interviews. Ethics have been taken into consideration while doing this research. The outcome of this work is a competition strategy and the 6Ps marketing mix, which include the competition advantage.

THE ANALYSIS OF THE FAMILY NEEDS - THE PRESCHOOL EDUCATION AND BABYSITTING -FOCUSED ON THE PRE-PRIMARY CHILDREN AT THE KINDERGARTEN WHICH WHERE ESTABLISHED BY THE STATUTORY TOWN ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE

The thesis focuses on the education and babysitting of preschool children from kindergartens established and financed by City Hall of České Budějovice. The theoretical part determines/ defines the basic terms in use, such as family, its function, and relevance for children. It characterised by a psychological and social development of preschool child. Also, it focuses on kindergarten; its functions, goals/aims, mission and influence on preschool children and family. The thesis deals with the state family politics as well. The empirical part answered the question who looks after the preschool children beside their parents. There were 1 185 respondets who participated on the survey. The reseach showes ? of the respondets do not need their extended family to look after their preschool child. Moreover, the families prefer help with their children from other family members instead of other persons/strangers (nanny, neighbor etc.). Likewise, while the parents are satisfied with the opening time of the nurseries in České Budějovice, they would prolong the closing time.
